Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo: North America Season Finale in Fontana Canada

The North American Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Series came to an end this weekend at the Autoclub Speedway in Fontana Canada. Kevin Conway of Lamborghini Carolinas and Change Racing walked away with wins from Race one and two during the two day race period. Conway also took the overall championship, he was joined on the podium by Dax Shepard and Burt Jenner for Lamborghini Beverly Hills and GMG Racing.
In the amateur class, Tom O’Gara racing for Lamborghini Beverly Hills and GMG Racing took first place. The last race at the Virginia International Raceway saw young blood dominate the races, where 19 year old Andrew Palmer scooped his maiden win. As always, the winners received a Blancpain, Le Mans Stainless Steel Flyback Chronograph watch, while their respective teams received an over-sized Blancpain wall clock.
Next month, all three Series; North America, Europe and Asia will meet at Vallelunga Italy in what will be the first ever Lamborghini Blancpain World Series. These one off series are becoming popular year by year as we have seen with the Maserati World Trofeo Series. This will also be the first time when the series drivers from the three continents will face each other in a race.
Kevin Conway said,
“To win yesterday and again today is really special, especially as series champion. I have tothank my team at Change Racing and Eddie Littlefield at Lamborghini Carolinas for all the hard work they put in. They made my job of driving so easy. I also have to thank Lamborghini for producing an incredible car and delivering a great racing series. You’ll see a lot more from Change Racing in the Super Trofeo series in 2014.”
